Saint Laurent

Founded in 1961 by Yves Saint Laurent, it was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter with a collection called Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, synonymous with youth and freedom, which revolutionized the fashion landscape. Yves Saint Laurent turned fashion into art, creating modern clothing inspired by Andy Warhol, Van Gogh, Georges Braque and Piet Mondrian in the ’60s and ’70s.

Throughout the years, the House kept true to its identity of modern chic style and today it is one of the most prominent fashion houses of the twenty-first century. In April 2016 Anthony Vaccarello has been appointed as Creative Director of the House. The Belgian designer has given a new  direction to the brand, balancing elements of provocative femininity and sharp masculinity.
